Once a year in America we take a day to remember all of the men and women who have lost their lives fighting for the United States.

Sadly, in some places, this holiday goes unnoticed, and uncelebrated.

I did not write this page so I could try to force people to celebrate a holiday that I feel needs to be noticed, but I am doing this page because the idea of awareness is throw around a lot these days because there is so much happening in our world. But being aware of the present is not always enough because the people that this day celebrates worked hard, and even gave their lives for the freedoms that our country stands by today.

Do not forget about the things that we as a nation are facing right now, but be aware of the things that many Americans were facing when we were not here in order for us to live the way we do today.

awareness.
The Arlington National Cemetery occupies 612 acres of Virginia where it is home to more than 240,000 fallen American soldiers.
There is one soldier in the whole cemetery that nobody knows. On his tomb is written "Here Rests In Honored Glory An American Soldier Known But To God."
Many loved ones were lost.
Although there were heroes back then, they do still exist in modern time.
