When we've offered rugby, it doesn't work, but now that we don't offer it, a good group of kids gather in the evening for an exhausting scrum.

It's organized by a couple of seniors. One of them is Whit. So when Whit sprained his ankle on this play, the game ended.

After assembly, Nick and Mike set up a string tripline across the walk outside the Meeting House and attempt to snag unsuspecting passersby, like Jon.

This is JV Girls lacrosse.

Within seconds of shooting this photo, I attempted to lob a ball to a girl in a practice line, but ended up smacking Steph--another player--instead, causing quite a lot of pain (hers) and anguish (mine).

It's a quiet Saturday.
Elsie's participation makes rugby a co-ed event. Here, Rob shakes a flying tackle by Elsie.
Elsie with the catch.
Evan negotiates the tripline on his skateboard.
Claudia and Rory aren't falling for this.
Phil Hackman and the Trainers are present at today's JV Lax game in case I toss another ball into a crowd.
This year, suddenly, every girls' lax player must wear eye protection at every game and practice.
At Proctor, we tend to celebrate the pagan rituals of spiritual holidays. Will baskets loaded with chocolate rabbits and jelly beans appear in dorm common rooms over night?
Some of us are in the spirit of the holiday.
