Congratulations to the strongest field hockey team in Proctor history for qualifying for a post-season tournament by defeating Southfields Saturday, 6-0. And long-overdue thanks to Rich Tilton P'16, for his extraordinary gift of photography in support of Proctor athletics!



For Proctor football, it's been a long time since preseason camp began on Leonard Field.



The Proctor-Holderness football rivalry is one of the oldest in all of high school sports. With other fall seasons completed (with the exception noted above,) this year's contest was played on turf for the first time.



Temperatures hovered in the mid-thirties, and a steady northwesterly kept some fans shivering, but the Hornets explosive running game and stingy defense were fired up from the start.



With 451 yards on 42 carries, the offensive domination was apparent early in this contest. Below, Andrew drags a crowd into the end zone.



Senior quarterback Sam Barrett, recipient of this year's Artie Pratt Award, attempted and completed just two passes....



...but executed an option play, described by one referee as "textbook," that sent him scampering for a 74 yard score. (Look far left.)



Hometown fans were happy!



With just over a minute to play, coach Ben Rulli pulled Sam so he could receive applause from the fans.



After the game, Ben observed that it is now up to the underclassmen on this team to carry forward the tradition that is Proctor football.



The seniors who have played two or more years on this team have experienced more victories than any previous players in school history!
