On Tuesdays, A Block classes are scheduled to meet from 11:20-12:30. Projection of the presidential inauguration in the Wise Center, however, prompted most classes to release early, and approximately 200 crowded the room.

Regardless of political suasion, students were transfixed by the images on the big screen, and spontaneous applause erupted repeatedly.

True to its Unitarian heritage, Proctor is a relatively secular school, where deeds--not creeds--matter. So, it was extraordinary, when Reverend Rick Warren recited The Lord's Prayer, to hear many students whisper the words in unison.

The spirit of celebration was contagious!

Eliza seemed to be everywhere!

Board Chair Mark Loehr forwards this image taken from his seat:

Students expressed their excitement in different ways.
The Wise Center was packed.
The Inaugural Address was projected on the big screen.
At an evening reception in the stone chapel, supporters posed with a cardboard cut-out.
During the campaign, Tom and Sue Eslick encountered a two dimensional candidate at the Wilmot Transfer Station!
