We all know what teenagers are doing are doing on Saturday mornings. They're sleeping. Well, most are. These ninth graders are waiting for the start of a GROWTH class. (Notice Josh's antique gum machine!)
By 8:30 AM, Proctor kids are in the first of two 70 minute classes. In biology, we're studying skin cells and cancer under microscopes.
Just down the hallway, we are dissecting chicken wings, examining muscle, tendons, cartilage and bone structure.
The arts are in full swing. Over the the woodshop, Greg Allen--who has had his shoulder fixed--helps kids consider Shaker table construction.
The ceramics studio is busy.
Upstairs in Maxwell Savage Hall, students in Spanish 2 are advancing vocabulary by drawing parques de atracciones (amusement parks).
Some kids have the second period free. A few hang out in the Wise Center, watching Sport Center.
In chemistry, Frasier and Will feign fascination with a boiling beaker, assuring an appearance on this site....
