A special reunion for senior alumni/ae has caught on quickly, as more than 50 graduates from the Class of 1971 and before returned this weekend. Frank Gibney '71, speaking below at Mike's State of the School address, organized a great turnout.

Members of the Class of 1971 were instrumental in the selection of David Fowler as Head of School in their senior year, and David is back for a week visit from his home outside of Santa Fe. Here, he speaks with former Board Chair Weezie Johnson.

David has written a novel entitled Cloud Swallower, which you can Investigate (and purchase!) by clicking on the title. A promotional tag goes: "A Zuni legend, a 500 year old grudge, five violent deaths, a romantic and cultural reconnection, arson, a Canadian mining company, and identical twin brothers following different, conflicting paths to aid in the survival of their Northern New Mexico pueblo all form the tapestry of this book." It's a must-read for Proctor Nation! Below, David meets with Patrice Martin at a reading-and-book-signing reception.

The presence of senior alumni represents a great opportunity for us to archive their perceptions, recollections and narratives on video. Here I am interviewing Jim Dunbar '47, who states, "I owe everything to Proctor."

Before the afternoon football game, former Captain Artie Pratt '56 participated in the coin-toss, and had a word of encouragement to fellow-Floridian Taylor Beasley.

A few minutes later--after Ray ran the opening kick-off for a touchdown--Taylor scrambles for yards on the left side.

Here's Ray running right with lots of support.

Across the Blackwater Valley, Tuckerman takes a turn in the mountain bike race.

Saturday night at 8:00, the incomparable jazz vocalist Shawnn Monteiro entertained with the JOSA band, featuring our own Bill Wightman and Richard Gardzina, pictured playing both soprano and tenor saxes.

Mike compares 1971 to 2007, referencing changes and constants.
Symbolizing the constants, he alluded to the bell above Maxwell Savage, ringing: "Still here...still here."

Students in iLife are doing video interviews, too.
