As we begin Thanksgiving Break, let's consider the extraordinary transition we have made over the past few days. The penultimate week of the term is one of concentrated performance, as chorus, drama, dance and athletic teams produce at peak levels.

For each individual, this focus is unique.

Then, quite suddenly, we leap into another kind of peak performance: final exams. This is calculus:

This is honors United States history:

Then, just as suddenly, exams end, and within a few hours, 300 kids pack up and leave. While some students are leaving until March (because they are spending the winter term in Spain, France or Mountain Classroom,) most will be back in ten days. Nevertheless, the passion of our farewells demonstrates the strong web of student relationships.

The New England Championship football game will be played against Noble & Greenough School at Phillips Exeter Academy Saturday at noon. Join us, and support the team in green!
