This past weekend, we hosted senior alumni. The emotions experienced by these gentlemen were powerful. One declared, "Everywhere we went, students looked us in the eye and said, "Hi!"
Another reflected on the dismal expectations our culture holds for schools and teenagers. "The media feeds us so much negativity about kids today, that we didn't know what to expect. To have Proctor students give us a standing ovation in Friday's assembly was amazing. I will be telling my relatives about it for the rest of my life."
Another alumn emailed us: "The outpouring from all at assembly still gives me goose bumps! The love, caring and the support of the entire Proctor family is indeed incredible. Everything about that weekend will stay with me for a lifetime."
And then there's this: "I am so grateful for the outpouring of love showed us during the weekend. Please pass on my gratitude and best wishes to the students and entire Proctor community."
Validation from senior alumni carries some weight, and we're delighted that they came away from the weekend with such strong feelings for their school. This metalshop is taught be Everett Jones '57:
