Honored Senior Alumni
10/1/2006

This weekend we honored senior alumni, those who graduated in the 1930s, '40s and '50s. Introduced in Friday's assembly, they received an emotional, spotaneous ovation from the student body.

On Saturday morning, several posed on the steps of the stone chapel.

Following a question and answer session with Mike, alumni recorded recollections from their days at Proctor in front of a video camera.

At Saturday's varsity football game, Spence Wright, who coached from 1951-71, and Artie Pratt, who was Captain of the 1956 squad, stepped out to midfield to toss the coin.

Spence and Artie walking back to the sidelines while the team gets pumped up in the background.

Here's Ray breaking free on the right side for the game's first touchdown.

Proctor won a thrilling game by the score of 15-14 against a strong team from Hebron. Here's on old photo of Spence forty-something years ago, trying to figure out Canadian football rules before a game against Westmount north of the border.

Our most loyal alumnus, Allan Bourn '35 receives an honorary certificate at Friday night's dinner at the New London Inn.
Allan attends virtually every reunion. Here, he watches the football team win in heroic fashion.
Celebration in the end zone.
