Eyes Have It

Today's Parent Page (an electronic newsletter/website "pushed" to parents every Friday) contains an intriguing insight from Head of School Steve Wilkins: "If one were to ask, 'What is the toughest month of the school year?' most people would identify February." It's true; winter's getting old, everyone's sniffling and spring warmth is a long way away. Steve's point is that we respond by doing tons of good stuff. Students have organized a broomball tournament on the pond tonight, and we had a short, violent, introduction to the sport on stage in this morning's assembly:

Sitting in the front row, I found myself guarding my eyes from slashing broomsticks. Proctor wrestlers, on the other hand, risk only eye strain studying their moves from a recent meet:

Just to be on the safe side, Alex tries to read the eye chart in the Training Room:

Still eighteen miles east of Mt. Sunapee's slopes, Will has eye protection in place while loading the trailer with snowboards and freestyle skis.
