Sundays are strange at boarding schools. After six days packed with classes, sports and activities, you are free to sleep all day, or lounge around the dorm commons room watching TV, or go for a bike ride, or do homework in the middle of the afternoon. There's no such thing as wasted time; each person does whatever s/he needs to do retool for another six days of frantic work and play. On the town green, Alex demonstrates the advantage of riding your bicycle upside-down: if you like where you are, you're not hassled by moving around to different places:
For many, having "nothing to do" (whatever that means) is welcome. In Summerfield House, Luke and Forrest find time to rehearse some of their acoustic grundge (their term, not mine).
Brunch ends at 11 AM, which is too early for many. So it's off to Pizza Chef, or just across the street to Jake's Market, where Alex and Alex score a couple of cases of "Holiday Spice" soda.
Sam provisions the third floor of Theroux House with Dr. Pepper and some microwaveable Pizza Rolls.
