The Donor's Experience
5/4/2002

Trustees are here discussing school finance, building projects and fund raising.

Their presence has the Development Office in high gear:

This office is at the center of a revolution in educational philanthropy. Instead of anticipating what donors want to know, and what they want to do with their money, we're placing the donor's experience at the center of the model. Annual giving? Which specific parts of the school's operation do you wish to support? Many who give to endowment wish to have their fund support a specific scholarship recipient. Last night, the benefactors of designated scholarships dined with the student recipients of those funds. It was an opportunity for human connections based on mutual respect and gratitude.

Sandy Cushman with Christine Frazier, the current Karen Cushman '78 Memorial Scholar.
Mark Cangiano with Chloe Rochon, one of three current recipients of the Leon M. Cangiano Scholarship for graduates of Andover Elementary Scchool.
Mike Trujillo '04 (Santa Fe, NM) with Frank Gibney '71, representing the Gibney Family Scholarship for students of Native American descent.
Tony Gomez '04 with Katie Kidder Hildner '91. The Kidder Family Scholarship supports tuitions (fully) for two students from Boston.
Sumner Rulon-Miller '57 established the Marion Hatt Scholarship for academic excellence, character and community involvement to honor the tutor who helped him succeed at Proctor. Senior Robin Bartlett is proud to be the current Marion Hatt Scholar.
