All five lacrosse teams won today. With record breaking temperatures in the 90's, two home teams--girls' varsity and boys' 3rds lacrosse-- beat Hebron and Berwick, while boys'varsity, JVs, and girls varsity and JVs won at Vermont Academy in Saxton's River. The boys' varsity was a classic. VA tied it up with 15 seconds to go, and Nick Wilkins notched the winner with .3 seconds on the clock!
At home, Proctor Spirit was evident both on the girls' bench...
...and at halftime, when they assembled at the edge of Emmons Field to belt out a cheer for the boys' 3rds:
At haltime, Coach Karl Methven asked his players, "How can we turn this game into an experience that benefits us as a team?"
Hey: Our great friend Yunus Peer writes: "I am back in Hawaii after 13 years at Proctor (85-98) teaching at Punahou School. I remain involved in helping to rebuild the educational system in South Africa...I would very much like to be in touch with my former students, advisees, soccer and tennis players.
I can be reached at ypeer@punahou.edu or via proctor email...."
Next Corner will be posted later tomorrow; tonight the Courts family hosts Atlanta Friends of Proctor.
