A three week vacation means something different to adults. To adolescents, you see, it's a much larger piece of their short lives, so it seems like eternity. This means that the euphoria experienced at the start of spring break is tempered by anticipated loss. The parking lot outside the dining room offers a surreal scene as students embrace, kiss and exchange vows of lasting affection amidst diesel fumes emanating from waiting busses.
