Denver Friends of Proctor gathered Friday evening to reconnect. We enjoy a strong and loyal contingent in Colorado. The pix at right are from that event. While this picture was being taken, a belligerent--possibly drunk--young man was hassling teacher Derek Mansell. Thinking the taunts had ended, Derek turned and walked away, only to be lacerated on the head by the guy's belt buckle. Derek was bloodied but unhurt. Next day, it was off to the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.
While this picture was being taken, someone pried open the window to the group's locked van, broke in, and stole everyone's backpacks. Lost were clothes, some cherished items, and difficult-to-replace meds. Here's Alice feeling much better after negotiating the local servicios.
