Shakespeare Nov. 22!
The NorthEast Shakespeare Ensemble brings its ninth Shakespeare salon to the Norris Family Theatre at Proctor November 22. Plan to join us at 6 PM for food and festive music followed by a performance of scenes, songs and sonnets at 7.
"A professional repertory theatre company, the NorthEast Shakespeare Ensemble (NESE) will have you falling in love for the first time--or all over again--with the works of Shakespeare, and other classical playwrights, whose timeless artistry represents the best ever written in the English language for the live stage."
Artistic Director John Goodlin observes, "Couple the power of the poetry--the spoken word--with the physical energy--the dynamic action--of the classically trained actor, and what awaits theatre audiences is the magical--ofttimes transforming--experience that is the 'live stage'. Indeed, with Shakespeare that experience is literally the 'holding of a mirror up to nature'--a timeless exploration--and discovery--of what it means to be human."
There is no admission fee, but a reservation is required. Email your reservation to NESE@adelphia.net or leave a voice message at 603-526-8251.
