Joy in Mudville.
We won a bunch of games this afternoon. The weather was spectacular, and my camera happened to be in hand. Despite the fact that I got pics of players mobbing my daughter after each of her two goals in a 2-0 JV victory over Brewster, my favorite is this image of Noah Sonduck pushing the ball south on Carr Field in 3rd soccer's 5-0 win over Berwick.
Varsity boys' soccer won a 2-1 thriller over Brewster. I witnessed the winning goal up close, but my digital camera was still processing one of my daughter's scores (I can't remember which one), so you don't get to see this header rocketing into the corner from a high-angle crossing pass. Too bad. Here's Coach Phil Goodnow congratulating his team seconds after the final whistle.
