Woodsmen's Olympics
11/7/2001

Yesterday Proctor Woodsmen hosted their annual olympiad, open to the public. As far as I could tell, the competition focussed on two events: axe throwing and broad saw. These activities proved to be much harder than you'd think:

This contestant successfully hit the target (forget about the bull's eye):

Bookstore empress Lida Beaudoin shows proper follow-through on this axe toss. Discerning viewers will spot the axe flying above Lida's hands.

Brooks Bicknell's architectural design class is constructing models of each student's stylistic house. It turns out "Spanish Eclectic" is the most popular style.
Brad identifies the front door of his Gothic Revival.
Jose's got a novel idea. He's designed an American Prairie-style house that he'd like to construct in the Dominican Republic.
Dani Hinkley earned style points on this backswing.
