Good Afternoons.
A week after graduation last June, about 75 faculty, students, parents, trustees, and friends convened for a two-day retreat at Mt. Sunapee to examine Proctor's mission. The outcome of that process was affirmation of existing core values--not a cry for any new definition of mission. The values identified by the group are: compassion, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Now that the school is back in business, it is interesting to see where and how we pursue the exercise of these values. Obviously, it happens everywhere. But where do we address these qualities more than through afternoon activities?
