Today was loaded with exciting developments and activities. First, Matapat--a trio of Quebecoise--dominated this morning's assembly with foot-stomping rhythms, dance, and incomprehensible lyrics.
That accomplished, we dashed to our mailboxes to find the new facebooks had arrived. For some reason, we take returning students' photos in May, so there is great levity on campus as vain teens screen obsolete images.
Then it was time to really get down to business: the ground-breaking ceremony for a new $280,000 day care facility across from the football field where Bravo the burro used to live. First, adorable tikes sang a song about child labor practices.
Then they got to work. After the photo op, they continued digging despite a steady drizzle....eager, it seemed, to see the project to completion.
