Possessing the finest facilities was not what made Proctor a great school. It was, rather, the people David and Steve attracted and retained; the students we enrolled and what they accomplished here. So when the Alice & David Fowler Learning Center opened in 1994, and we suddenly had the best library-and-technology combo anywhere, we were transformed and sort of stunned by this gift that we possessed. Today something similar is happening.

The new Meeting House is so balanced...so beautifully appointed and appropriate in scale...we're just beginning to realize the extent of the community's transformation. Today a couple of us went to Nashua to play a 7' 6" Yamaha grand piano to see if it's the one we want. The entire scope of the arts at Proctor has been redefined.

The Norris Family Theater and its adjacent lobbies and galleries command the top two floors, but the lower level features a drama black box, costume shops, a green room, and a solar-illuminated dance studio with a sprung floor and mirrored wall.

Suggestion: get to Boston's Seaport Hotel on Thursday night at 6:30. You don't want to miss being a part of this. Let me know you're coming: chuck@proctornet.com

Nonsequitur: football beat Hyde 29-0 to remain undefeated and unscored-upon.
