Teen Nutrition
1/30/2003

Nutrition is critical to the health of a community. Particularly as we grow through adolescence, the proper balance of good food is fundamental to our well-being. So our beloved kitchen staff offers sumptuous soup & salad bars, home-made breads and bins full of Fruit Loops. But what are kids really eating? When Nancy Schoeller's ninth grade English class whined that they never have field trips, they mounted a spontaneous assault on Jake's Market.

This provided an opportunity to guage our charges' preferences. The results were conclusive: kids crave bags of chewy Blue Sharks (hydrogenated corn syrup + artificial color,) caffeinated sodas and doughnuts drenched in powered sugar.

So, how's everyone feeling?
