Mud flinging start.
9/10/2001

Returning students did what they do (return) in great quantities yesterday as new students came back from the woods. Monday was "On Campus Orientation" which means scavenger hunts, summer reading tests, Rastafarian musicians at lunch, and the annual tug-of-war contest in the bonfire pit. The Green Team got soaked when student Michael Baptiste picked up the fire hose used to create the mud pit in the middle:

The image below captures our Head of School Steve Wilkins muddied by fellow members of his Green Team.

Then we broke into advisee groups to perform community service projects to benefit both the school and the town. Here are my advisees returning from cleaning the town beach at Highland Lake.

Returnees arrived en masse yesterday.
These Rastas came all the way from Massachusetts. They set the record for the longest rendition of Waiting in Vain.
Will Ames got the teams ready for Tug-of-War.
