Health Matters
1/27/2003

The charming facility we rush to when sick-- euphymistically known as the Health Center--was previously called the Malnati Infirmary, in memory of Helen Malnati, whose death is mentioned in the 1958 yearbook. Here she is posing for a visual joke; the student is injecting her with a corkscrew:

We could use Helen today. The community is afflicted with a long-lasting upper respiratory viral infection and a nasty, fast-moving gastrointestinal malaise that comes on with little warning. Our health services team is busy treating students who feel feverish, sneezy, achy and pukey. Passing tissues before a math class:

The library is a busy place, too.

Ethan minds a helpful sign placed on one of the sneeze guards in the dining room, asking us not to serve ourselves entrees with bare hands--just because it's cold & flu season:

The former Malnati Infirmary, now the Health Center.
9:20, United States history. John's not feeling so good.
Can't you just feel this sneeze coming on?
Patrick: "Is it possible to have two sicknesses at the same time?"
Danny in an algebra class.
Lots of people are in the library.
Sam: "Oh, boy....I don't feel so good all of a sudden...."
