Cary Foundation

If I remember correctly, Cary House housed 34 boys, 4 faculty, the dining room, school laundry, and ski room. It was Proctor's most impressive edifice.

When it burned early in April, 1977, we thought it was a disaster.

With time, it became clear that the fire was a blessing--allowing us to decentralize the campus, commit to small dorms, and grow the student population with a large-capacity dining facility. The photo of the Meeting House at right is from the southeast corner of the Cary House foundation.

It is always heartening to know that we have soulmates...to know that the Proctor experience has lasting positive effects on our graduates. Brian Levy '91 sends the following photo from a recent vacation in Mexico with wife Michelle:

Hey, Brian! You're our kinda guy! You'll feel right at home in the Development Office!
