I've been suffering from Digital Image Overload recently, a condition aggravated by the Continuous Shutter mode on my camera, which enables shooting three images per second. When you put a handful of 14-year-olds on a frozen pond, they immediately become motivated to invent new sports.
Most of these games involve advancing a small object with a stick.
Nedal Ezzeddine '01 stopped by recently while visiting Laura Eaton from the University of Miami, where he is a sophomore. He sends this photo taken by the pond:
As a student here, Nedal provided an important voice as a thoughtful, passionate international student and Muslim. Speaking of today's impending crisis, he says, " I understand that Saddam has to go, but another war on Iraq which is sure to bring thousands of civilian casualties is going to upset a lot of people. And more than likely, Saddam will send missiles to Israel, further escalating a very, very fragile situation in the Middle East.... It's a sad situation. Especially with the fact that the President of this great country has his mind set on war and refuses to see it any other way despite calls from most other countries."
