This may be the most hectic and emotional day of the year. It starts off with the last final exams. Here's Honors Biology:

Below, Whitney and an unidentified classmate scratch heads over algebra:

Then, responding to vague threats, underclasspersons pack up, share heartfelt good-byes, and leave. Interesting: while marketing firms want big bucks to survey students' families on their satisfaction with prep schools, more than 95% of our underclassfolk are returning in September. (We don't have to pay for that info.)

Now it's time to fete the seniors. The Cage has been transformed into a profession-quality venue for tonight's Awards Dinner, and--possibly--the first in-door Commencement ceremony since 1983.

North Street was crawling with SUVs, pick-ups loaded with stuffed chairs and trunks, and the usual skateboarders.
Dave Shay completes his dorm sign-out form with skateboard underfoot.
The Cage is ready for 850 diners, with two rear-projection screens, banks of suspended lighting, and an immense sound system.
