This period between athletic seasons provides natural stresses for students used to the structure of team practices. The first athletic contests are months away, and snow-sport athletes are relegated to fun afternoon exercises like capture the flag and ultimate Frisbee. The latter should not be confused with the finesse sport enjoyed by collegiate alumni on Carr Field in July and August. No. The game played this afternoon is notable for disputed plays, physical abuse, and too many players standing around waiting for the disc to come their way. Still, there is some action:

Yes, there are some quality plays, despite the senseless gang-tackling and pig-piles that distinguish snowboarders bereft of snow.

One of the obvious manifestations of teens in emotion tranistion is the clumsy exhibition of courtship rituals.

This is not the quality of Ultimate to which we are accustomed.
