Things are hopping.
With the woods too wet for clearing to begin for the new tennis courts above the hockey rink, you'd think I'd be starved for intriguing stories. How far from the truth! As I write this, an auditorium full of bio-organic chemists is regaling to a presentation entitled "Pore Planning: Functional Membrane Proteins by Design."
Speaking of poor planning, when we imported a beach to the yard next to Carr House and placed a net in the middle, our students--despite a healthy contingent of Southern Californians--seemed confused and bewildered. The introduction of a white ball accomplished nothing. It turns out, however, that bio-organic chemists recognized it as a volleyball fronton and love the sport.
