Proctor Academy - Forward Retreats

We huddled in front of a warm fireplace on Monday and Tuesday. The presumed task was to distill comments from the end-of-the-year faculty meeting last week on the topic of Proctor's core values. We find a great deal of consensus exists on these matters; themes of "community," "together," and education of the whole child are recurrent and strong. The hidden product, of course, is time together...the administration laughing and arguing...playing stickball on a wet beach...keeping the fire stoked.
