Performance Anxiety
9/16/2002

Every two or three days I find I have the right images to post another one of these things...whatever they are. Today I have a few perfectly fine pix to share with you, but there's a problem. Last week we started linking Chuck's Corner from both the Parent Page (go to Parents and click on the links you find in the lower center) and the Together Page that gets sent to everyone we know with an e-mail address. The point is that the readership for Chuck's Corner has suddenly gone from about 450 a day (which I could handle emotionally) to 1000 or more. Now I'm suffering from performance anxiety. I have the pictures, but I can't contrive a pithy, sarcastic story like before. With that disclaimer issued, I'll risk the following: here's a section of the ninth grade class posing for its yearbook picture this morning with three upperclassmen getting the greatest thrill imaginable by sticking their heads in the back:

At the same time, sophomores posed for their yearbook photo without much trouble.

Karl Methven's class met this afternoon on the wall by Proctor Pond:

I know you're asking "What's the point?"

Beats me.

When Nancy Schoeller speaks to the school about absence points, she assumes the character of "Points Fairy." Don't ask questions; just go with it.
These kids in a chem lab had no idea that the stuff they were putting into the vial of hydrchloric acid was going to detonate a small explosion....
...but it did.
