The deal with end-of-the-year faculty parties is that we try to be consistent, by always hiring the same band. And they're great. This year The Flames set up in the tent we have for Commencement activities and Reunion Weekend, and--as expected--they rocked the place with familiar oldies ranging from The Four Seasons to the Dead.
In an effort to sprinkle some novelty into the whole situation, Brooks Bicknell suggested that we come dressed as notable pop icons. (Brooks, for example, set a standard by arriving as Don Ho.) Below we see Princess Leia, Eminem, a current rock diva whose name escapes me, Dr. Evil, and Bob Marley:
