A noisy crowd comprised of students (on vacation!), faculty, parents and trustees (Bob Usen and Mark Cangiano) descended on Worcester Academy last night to cheer the boys basketball team on to a tough 52-48 win over Suffield.
While Proctor appeared to be the more explosive team, Suffield played a smart defense--taking away much of our 3-point game, and double-teaming Jack Jenkins inside--while demonstrating an effective 3-point game of their own. Proctor had a nice lead early, but it was knotted at 29 at the half. In the second half, Jack dished off repeatedly to Tyrell Dortch and Tyrell's cousin Derrick Harris for successful drives. Late in the game, the Green team regained the edge and held on.
