First, let us congratulate girls varsity ice hockey for a herioc performance last night against The Gunnery (to whom we lost 8-1 earlier in the season.) With our goalie out, senior Beth Fairall donned the pads and inspired the team to new heights. Ahead 1-0 through two periods, the Hornettes ended up on the short end, 2-1, but finished the season with real pride.
A slamdunk by junior Tyrell Dortch helped inspire a frantic crowd and a fine team effort as Proctor trounced a talented Thayer Academy squad 99-68 last night in Farrell Fieldhouse. This may have been the first post- season tournament game at Proctor in modern history (can anyone recall another?) and the home team dominated throughout.
The crowd was loud. Below, a couple of Adam Gervais's fans show off faux "Ace" tattoos:
Our next competition is Suffield Academy Friday at 7 PM at Worcester Academy. For directions, check out www.worcesteracademy.org/travel.html. See you there!
