When you mention Proctor, no one says, "You mean the home of WPRC, 88.1 on your FM dial?" Maybe that's because the radio station only broadcasts from 10-11 PM on random nights, and--in order to pick up the signal--you have to be close enough that you could hear it if you had your window down. Seniors Maksym and Sean made an emotional announcement in assembly that this was their last "Metal Mayhem" show, and promised "the best heavy metal," which prompted our Head of School to call out, "Isn't that an oxymoron?" This was followed by a poster campaign across campus defaming our leader as a kicker of puppies:

I dropped by the studio during the show and requested something by Venom, which they played, along with some of everyone's favorite selections by Iron Maiden, Manowar, Judas Priest, and Blind Guardian:

With no sports this late in the term, and a Wednesday afternoon open, the school jumped into Game Day, which featured water balloon tossing, relays, tug-of-war, and an ugly pie-eating contest.

After several tug-of-war contests over a mud pit, we got down to some female mud wrestling:

A poster campaign smeared our noble leader in defense of heavy metal.
Listening to some Venom, the DJs rocked violently, playing invisible guitars in a manner reminiscent of Beavis and Butthead.
Game Day: Harrison shows how to catch a water balloon hurled fifty feet.
There were relays.
Hey, what's the crowd looking at?
Rob prepares to bury his face in chocolate cream pie.
This was ugly.
Parker Cave '00 (right) is back at everyone's favorite upscale deli, Gourmet Garden, in New London. Just tell them "Chuck sent me" and they'll charge full price.
