I'm not sure what it tells us that--on both fall and spring Family Weekends--Steve Wilkins stands in front of the entire parent association to field spontaneous questions. Whether this is a demonstration of courage, unfailing optimism or insanity is debatable, but Friday's open forum was a great success, as one supportive comment after another punctuated questions regarding communication, schedules and wellness programs.

Back in September, I wrote a page called Almost Famous documenting the rehearsal of a school garage band. A new incarnation of student rock echoed across campus recently.

In recent years we've noticed that Proctor teams, in general, seem to do better as the year progresses. Indeed, boys and girls lacrosse teams, tennis teams and softball are notching a bunch of wins this term. Here's coach Ian Hamlet with a few words prior to varsity boys' lacrosse win over New Hampton Saturday:
