Back At It
1/6/2008

Students returned from Break on Thursday evening, and hit the (frozen) ground running Friday morning.

Academic classes get back to the normal routine in a matter of minutes. This is Spanish 2:

At 9:50, we meet for an assembly that features student announcements (girls varsity basketball swept its holiday tournament!) and a poem from our favorite poet, Laurie Zimmerman. We finish early, and pour out into the cold air with several minutes before B Block.

There's time to grab a breakfast sandwich and/or coffee at Jake's Market, despite a long line comprised wholly of Proctor students.

Back to work. Chris gets some help from Eric Cole-Johnson on a video project in French.

Time for a quick pose before chemistry:

We've decided to observe Mardi Gras early this year.

Simone and Sophie share work on the whiteboard in biology.
Sisters Annie and Taylre in the same section of Honors U.S. History!
Evan's starting a stained glass project in geometry.
Robert's starting a ceramics project.
Across the room, Kiersten's further along in her project.
Students address the whole community in assembly.
Jake, John and Grace move toward their B Block classes after scoring a late breakfast at Jake's Market.
When I used our electronic bulletin board, "News," to ask for photo-ops Saturday morning, Tucker replied, "We're learning."
So, I decided to document his "learning," (above, in British literature, and here in history of the USSR 1917-1990.)
Back in action.
