Big Chill
Across the parking lot....
12/14/2006

Teddy Maloney Rink and Farrell Field House were, as usual, busy Wednesday afternoon. While JV Boys Basketball were winning big, Girls Varsity Hockey bested Tilton 3-0. Below, Vika puts the biscuit in the basket.

Next, Boys Varsity Hockey defeated St. Mark's School 5-2.

Members of the girls' team cheered on boys.

Commandeering my Nikon D100, they kept the shutter button depressed in the continuous fire mode, striking exaggerated poses, all while shrieking, "This is fun!"

With the camera set to shoot small, "Basic JPGs," the 256 MB Memory Card can hold more than 1,000 images, so the photo-shoot continued through most of the third period. "Work with me!!"

Hillary's winning the battle against shyness, one step at a time.

Across the parking lot, in the east function room of Farrell Field House, Girls Varsity Basketball players are wrapping presents for needy children in the area. Little kids were asked to name a gift they'd love to receive, and each wish was placed on a paper ornament with the child's name and age. Each member of Noreen Fifield's talented squad raised her own sum of money by shooting free throws. This part of Project Santa is backed by an anonymous supporter. The girls shopped Wednesday afternoon, and later learned some valuable wrapping skills!

These special presents will appear under Christmas trees on Christmas morning.

Go, boys' hockey!
Maybe if we do stuff like this, Chuck will put it on the web!
Work with me....
Let's drag Director of Athletics Kathy Noble into this!
Stephanie wraps a gift purchased with money she raised shooting free throws.
The little girl whose Christmas wish ornament Eliza selected wanted something "princessy." She's going to get both a princess doll and a crown for her own head.
