We're in the second day of classes, and things have quickly accelerated to full speed. With 44 students studying at our off-campus programs (22 on Ocean Classroom, 10 in Spain, 9 in France and 3 in Costa Rica,) we have 300 here in Andover. Here we are changing between classes:

The math department was devastated by May's flooding, but the first floor of Shirley Hall is ready for classes with new carpeting, linoleum and electric service. New desks arrived after first classes!

No problem in Pete Southworth's American Lit.

On Tuesday, we gathered for the first all-school assembly. Following Mike's welcome and the usual spontaneous announcements, Anne Swayze clarified the school's response to rule infractions. It's not an easy topic, but it needs to be presented honestly.

Desks have arrived in the math area, but who needs them?

Not Danny.

Over in the metalshop, students are tackling introductory projects, fashioning pins on lathes.
