Today's page offers a quiz, and makes an observation. The question is simple: why is Alex (pictured, right) looking so pleased in honors algebra 1? Be patient, and you'll discover the answer at the bottom of the page.
The observation: a visitor learns more about Proctor during one hour of the day (10 to 11 AM) than through any other process. The moments building up to assembly transform the auditorium into a beehive of social interaction. Casual networking and purposeful communication overlap everywhere, until the teacher in charge (Duty Officer for the day) brings order out of chaos, quiets the throng and initiates some process of announcements and entertainments.
Thursday's assembly featured Forrest and Luke, who have been writing and performing highly original stuff since they met.
Ty and Ryan performed Friday, but the lighting didn't allow for a photo. After the parade of announcements and performance, the crowd spills out of the Meeting House and scatters towards the snack area, Jake's Market and classes.
Answer to today's quiz: Maybe it's because his classmates are so fond of him!
