Summer Reflection
7/25/2004

We are at that point of the year when the school is most dormant. Half the factulty is away pursuing professional development of various kinds; others are stealing away from Andover for weeks of recreation and fun. On campus, things seem generally quiet.

In fact, campus is busy with weekly conferences sponsored by Gordon Research. Summer after summer, Proctor hosts the general biology track, bringing the world's most advanced scientists to Andover. Here they are registering.

They are here to share unpublished research that is truly cutting-edge, and it is an honor that we have them here.

This week's attendees are studying Musculoskeletel Biology and Bioengeneering. More than 1300 scientists will discover a unique Proctor experience here his summer.

Summer after summer, the Norris Family Theater is the site of the world's cutting-edge symposium on biological research.

This is a time of quiet reflection.
One month from now, we'll be gearing up for another start. In the meantime, a blue heron flies from Proctor Pond.
