Page 17 of the Greenbook clearly lists all afternoon activities available to Proctor students, and there's no mention of track & field events. So it came as a surprise to learn that Proctor had swept the 110-yard high hurdles at the New England Prep School Division II Track Tournament. Our team, comprised only of senior Chris Jones, presented a commemorative T-shirt to Steve in assembly (right).

Spring sports ended yesterday, so it's time for alternative activities to keep everyone busy for the next two weeks. JV girls lacrosse (which finished, incidentally, with a record of 10-1-1) challenged the world to sprints to determine the fastest students at Proctor.

The event, held on Carr Field, drew a large crowd and trash talking was encouraged by--well--my wife. Here are the fastest girls:

Proctor's highly successful track team presents a prize T-shirt to Steve Wilkins in assembly.
Trash talking was encouraged by adults. Anthony, who had a few things to say, points the way.
But it turned out to be Jerome who took bragging rights.
And Meredith dominated girls' sprints.
Equipment Manager Jake Johnson cheating--and losing--on the Gator.
Maybe those hot dogs weren't such a good idea....
