Snapshot

This is Spring Family Weekend, and parents are here to experience their children's lives...attending classes, meals and doing laundry together. They're here for a snapshot of Proctor life in twenty-four hours.

Let me provide you a snapshot of Proctor over the past twenty-four hours. These students are responding to cues (verbs in French) with specific actions.

Thursday, noon: The sun comes out! Carr House beach is suddenly alive with volleyball.

Friday lunch: It's pouring outside the tent. Inside, the steel drum band plays Dancero.

Friday at breakfast, Proctor Environmental Action plans the week's activities.
Mariel's artwork includes recyclable coffee filters, brush paints that are really coffee (French roast and coffee with cream) and coffee grounds on adhesive.
After assembly, Jerome enjoys a healthful Grannysmith apple while Chloe hoards the whole bowl of cheese curls....
At lunch, Forrest, Patrick and Joe hack with a deteriorating orange.
Carr Beach. What's the commotion above?
Why, it's Patrick, liberating the volleyball from a maple branch.
Sean stylin' on the bass steel drums at Friday's lunch under the tent.
Never has the steel drum band seen this kind of talent.
Ethan scores in rugby on Carr Field Thursday night.
Ever since Project Period, Joe has had a very special relationship with my wife....
