October is the month when the tide of families visiting the Admission Office begins to really come in. We get about twenty campus visits each September, but about 100 in October, and we're going to exceed that number this month. The campus is suddenly crawling with visitors on tours.
Each visiting family will have its own take on things, but I can share with you something five families experienced today.
In assembly (10:15-10:50), Sean comes forward to invite people to share his love of tea. He's serving up Sunday mornings!
After assembly, siblings and legacies (anyone with a relative who attended Proctor,) pose for a yearbook photo.
From assembly, a visiting family wades into the crowd.
People are moving on foot, skateboards, bicycles and scooters.
Classes get underway.
Angie works on a surfboard while--in the background--a visiting family is introduced to the Proctor experience.
If visitors stayed for the afternoon, they could join a team... like a mountain biking team setting off on bridges they've built over local wetlands.
