Our school year is structured to provide frequent opportunities for student performance. Ten-week trimesters are complete academic units earning final grades and credits. They correspond to afternoon activities, so the metaphor between academic and athletic/artistic achievement is fairly obvious. We tackle final exams this week with the exhilarating emotion of recent triumphant extra-curricular performances.
