The last weekend of the term is a "campus weekend," meaning that all boarders are here on campus Friday and Saturday nights, gearing up for final exams. To keep everyone busy with healthy pursuits we offer an array of activities. In addition to enjoying the triumphant spring musical production of
Bye, Bye Birdie, students fished the north Atlantic, shopped, jammed with Pillbug and slept late. Sunday afternoon we convened behind the field house for the annual Spring Fling.
Parent volunteers flipped burgers and served up snow cones, cotton candy, fries and watermelon under warm sunshine.
The Boston-based rock band
Stepanian entertained from the west side of the field hockey field.
Booths scattered across the field offered lawn bowling, dart games, Baggo and body painting. Below, Michael receives a customized tramp stamp.
Connor, Brett and Paul have been to that booth.
Strapped into a spherical cage, students rolled down hill toward inflatable bowling pins. The person trapped in the ball has no control---Sophie is just in for the ride.
The headliner is the highly talented comedian
Hilby, depicted below juggling a plunger, bowling pin and sabre with a Starburst impaled on the tip. He eats the Starburst off the blade.....
