Visiting families are touring campus in frigid, gusty mid-winter. First stop is assembly--a warm bath in the ethos of the community. Exiting the Meeting House, one is swept along by an ebb tide of humanity.

On the right hand side of the walkway, students pose for various yearbook photos. This crowd is comprised of one senior's friends.

After grabbing fruit and pretzels at the Wise Center, we scatter to classrooms in Shirley Hall and Maxwell Savage. These ninth graders have a few minutes before the start of algebra.

Just down the hall, these three are psyched for the start of algebra 2.

Upstairs in chemistry, Taylor writes equations on the whiteboard.

Just across North Street, venerable Slocumb Hall is the center of campus, the hub for visual arts and the locus of much activity.

Niels and Eli provide musical inspiration for Haakon.

Ryan comes from a family of accomplished artists.

Just to the east, below and behind the boatshop, Evan welds in Kinetic Metal Sculpture.

After classes, the Blackwater Ski Area draws a crowd.

Woodstoves keep Yarrow's Lodge toasty warm. These jumpers are from Sunapee High School.

Over at the rink, fans cheer boys varsity hockey to a convincing win over Holderness.

Let's go on a quick tour.
Chilly even in the warmth of assembly!
Will's going to call me as soon as his zoology class starts dissecting hagfish.
Tyler finishes a test in the Learning Center.
A boarder while her parents run Proctor in France this winter, Sophie fashions a mold for a clear plastic medallion.
Eric's ready for this afternoon's snowboarding.
Amir discovers that my very cool Ray-Bans are prescription!
One of Marcus's talents is peeling fruit (bananas are a specialty) into sculptures. If this tangerine were in focus, you would see a jellyfish with pendulous tentacles. My bad.
A chilly rope tow.
