Check Up
9/23/2008
Monday was the first day of autumn. Let's check in and see how the year is getting underway. These are international students and those with dual citizenship:

I've been out-of-state for a few days, and it's interesting to assess the social climate on campus with fresh eyes.

Academic life is definitely in high gear. Ninth graders are tackling their first high school-level research projects.

George Emeny has time for individual support in algebra 1.

These algebra 1 students are collaborating on in-class work.

After assembly, we have a few minutes of free time to score a snack from Jake's or the Wise, or to finish up an assignment before World Cultures.

Over lunch, student leaders hold an open meeting, brainstorming activities, entertainments, dances, etc. for the Student Activities Office to pursue.

These U.S. History students can not wait for the afternoon class to commence!

Before this science class begins, the Cheez-Its have to go....

Ohhh! We're gonna be on Chuck's Corner!
What's up?
Peer help in the library.
Outside the boat shop, Sam is building a speedboat/hydroplane that will be powered by a 35-HP outboard motor.
As a Learning Skills class begins, Sam ponders the workings of the human brain.
Robert demonstrates what it's like to be a senior.
Frankie's teacher asked me to shoot him.
Hannah's sister, Lindsay '08, asked me to shoot her!
Toomey's shooting twin Arnold Palmer ice tea/lemonades.
