While I'm away on vacation, I'm recycling some of last spring's best. This one first appeared May 24.
Twenty-something years ago, a member of Bermuda's Esso Steel Band came to campus for a Project Period and taught us how to make steel drums out of oil barrels. We have had a thriving steel drum elective ever since, and the spring incarnation of the group entertained in assembly yesterday.
The band's seniors who went on Senior Projects never learned to play Under the Sea, so they donned flippers and masks and danced for us.
These freshman mistook the bocci balls we store at Carr Beach for juggling balls.
Varsity girls lacrosse coaches had to create a special award for the most spirited member of that team: pom-poms for Liz!
