This has been a great year, but meteorologically, it has been a challenge. Now, as temperatures climb into the 80s, we're busting out. It's a nice day to be conducting a census of invertebrates in Proctor Pond.

The Spanish game El Gato y El Raton is--literally--a cat and mouse chase around a circle.

Another Spanish class enjoys student show-and-tell presentations on the topic "Quando era nina/nino."

Lunch is a picnic/lawn party.

Not far away, on Carr Beach, competitive volleyball draws a crowd.

This is an opportunity to get good and sweaty before B block class, which--with any luck--will be held outdoors.

Spectators wait to sub in.

It's a fine day for surveying.
Or to claw through cool muck for invertebrates.
Daniel sands his kayak outside of the woodshop.
Californians have played this sport before.
Geordie serves.
Kinley with the overhead serve.
Nick organizes the substitutions.
The Pond is the place to be.
Whatever you do, don't spray me with that sprinkler....
Who says we're a bunch of tree-huggers?
